Teenager held after crossing Kishanganga river in Keran | KNO

A teenage boy was detained by police along Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector sector on Monday evening. Official sources told GNS that the youth Najam Saqib (19) son of Uzair Joo was apprehended soon after he reached Keran after crossing over the LoC via Kishan Ganga River dividing two parts of Kashmir. The youth’s family had migrated to other side of Kashmir in 1990. SSP Kupwara Shamsheer Hussain told GNS that the youth was detained soon after getting information. “He is being presently questioned and we are trying to find out motives which led him to cross the LoC,” SSP said.
